No worries, I won't write a lot, however, I feel compelled.
Thanksgiving was not spent the way I had envisioned. We were invited, traditionally, to spend the day with close friends who we consider family. Instead I spent the day in bed, feeling queasy. I'm jut getting over a little stomach bug that put me out for the last 3 days.
So,now that I'm feeling better, I'm recognizing what the holiday season really means to me.
Thanksgiving is a time to count and recognize our blessings and I rec'd another reminder of how blessed I am.
Thank goodness I made some great choices a few years back and am capitalizing on leverage.
Our nanny is on holiday with her family last week and this week - We miss you Janice!
and so not only was I grateful to not have anyone to report to when I was down w/ the bug, I was/ am grateful that Bob is home as well to be with Skye while I spent the last few days in bed. (I don't remember the last time I was sick, it has been at least 6 years).
Before bed, Skye and I say our prayers, and as we lay there, I say "I am grateful..." and he now fills in the blank.
It is precious (and priceless) to hear the words that come from his mouth.
What a gift being with him is, to me, it is the best gift of all. To be present in his playful energy afterall reminds me of my own playful spirit which will continue to be the biggest asset that I can possess.
Speaking of the little man, I hear him and Bob enjoying the annual Texas - Texas A & M game.
and I just heard Dad say to Skye, "the guys in the orange are good - and the guys in the red are bad..."
All then I heard Skye say- "HUH???"
Time for me to go intervene! (Go Longhorns!) ;-) xxooo
Enjoy your holiday weekend!
